In this assignment we had to turn the lights off, set our shutter speed to about 30 seconds and paint with different light sources.

I used a green glow stick, a green led pointer light, a flashlight and a hand held camera flash.

I had a lot a fun with this assignment and will most likely be adding more photos later on.

Macro Assignment

In this assignment we had to use the macro setting on our camera and take some close up photos.  I enjoyed this assignment even though I wish it was spring time so I could catch some of the early spring flowers and insects.

Portraits

For this assignment we had to do Home Portraits

using the 3 point light system. I really like how my photos

turned out but the high ISO I had to use to get the

correct exposure made then really noisy.

I also had a light burn out half way through and had

to switch to a different fill light that I wasn't to fond of.

But I made it work.

In this assignment we had to take photos of the architecture of a building inside and out.

I original wanted to take photos of the Jewel Box but after taking a few shots I realized the inside was closed to get prepared for a wedding.  Then I choose to do the W. F. Pavilion in Forest Park.  I mainly changed my exposure compensation setting on my camera to get the correct exposures. I also played with my shutter speed for exposure correction.

ISO Assignment

In this assignment we are changing our ISO settings to see the difference it will have on our photos. I noticed that at in the low lights of my apartment at the lower ISO the photo was apt to turn out a little blurry. As I went up in ISO the photo would get clearer and more crispy but once I got to the really high ISO's the photos would become grainy or have a lot of noise to them.
While taking the photos outside in the morning light even at the lowest ISO the photo was very clear and crispy but once I got up to around ISO1600 they also became noisy and grainy.

WHITE BALANCE ASSIGNMENT

From White Balance Assignment

For this assignment we had to test out the different white balance settings on our camera. The camera I am using is a Sony 8.1 mega pixel Cyber-shot that has 10 different white balance settings. The different settings put a different color cast to the photo to counter balance a lighting issue.
